Tried the Oculus Rift today as was very surprised by the immersiveness! My friend got nausea from the trip, it's said a lot of people do.
It may, or may not change gaming, but it all depends on the future hardware. It's not for VR what iPhone was to the smart phones, but it started out in a basement months ago, so if it develops as fast as this the future is awesome! This does not compare to the VR of the 90'ies (and if Glass hands over a billion dollars it's going through the roof)!
