I've been curious for some time as to how much stock prices and the Bitcoin price correlate. So I did a little digging. To begin with, they don't look alike. These are the daily candles of S&P 500 and Bitcoin over the last year:
And the delta close price correlation (which by far is the strongest) lands at a measly 0.35. If we instead look at how AAPL compare to S&P 500 we see this:
With a delta close price correlation of 0.90! Stock and Bitcoin prices are unrelated, period.
