The People are smarter than you think

Even though I'm certainly hold the view that there are a ton of idiots out there, the herd mentality and the middle class are not dumb in the same way all the time. So the Brits voted in the same way as the market, just look at the daily on the Pound:

The economists, however were all more or less against it. They're going to be wrong, no biggie. The same way that the Swedish middle class is waking up to "oh, the immigration wasn't all good?" not one year too early.

Democratic history is filled with votes that went the "wrong way" according to experts and politicians. Only on a handful of times as it gone really bad: Venezuela recently, Hitler in the 30's. The rest of the time democratic herd mentality saved us. I hope and believe that to be true for the coming decade in Sweden as well.

Alternative for Sweden, AfS, and their "Repatriation Department" might be the way forward. I've got some reading to do.
