Catnip, cat nap

I've been a bit low the last few days and haven't worked much, as a furry little family member got diagnosed with renal failure. Today we booked a vet house call to put him down in three days, and we hope he won't suffer too much until then. It hurts to watch the poor little thing stagger around and almost eat or drink nothing; Imse’s still young and will die before he turns six.

One out of nine are innocent on death row in America. One of our great flaws as human beings is the ease with which we disregard such a horrific fact. And yet, in Imse's last few weeks in life I've spent almost as much on him as I've spent on charity the rest of my life. Doubly sad, and I still can't help myself; those that are closest to me matters most, furry or not. I hope he wants to sleep in our bed tonight, in three days he'll be cold, three feet below.
