I'm fiddling with the resource management... again. To write a multi-purpose, easy-to-use and efficient resource system for a dynamic game prooved hard, to say the least. This time over I'm doing my fourth or fifth amendment. I'm just lucky I didn't have to rewrite it.
Static games with a fixed, load-time levels, are much easier to code for. But I enjoy playing the good open-ended, seemless games too much to be lured into the trap of levels.
If I manage to hang in there, I'll hopefully be done in a week or so. Peuh! Won't pass unnoticed by anyone in the family when dad gets to bed before 5 AM. :)
